New feature added to GFA's website
The Georgia Forestry Association is pleased to announce a new feature on its website. The Georgia General Assembly is currently in session and, with hundreds of bills being presented, GFA understands how difficult it can be to follow each issue. The Association is utilizing a new program called Capwiz (located under the 'Government Affairs' tab of www.gfagrow.org) that organizes each issue into an easy-to-use list. The list details the bills number, title and GFA's position on that particular issue.

By clicking on the bills title, visitors will be given a summary of the bill as well as the option to contact their legislators. If you are unsure who your legislator is, Capwiz will provide the information when you enter your zip code. Not only will Capwiz tell you which legislator to contact, but the program makes it easier than that: an email is already generated to that person and all you have to do is enter your message and click 'send'!

This new tool GFA allows members to become more involved in the political process, by educating you on the issues and allowing your voice to be heard. So please - give Capwiz a try. A link ("Current Legislation" found on the left hand side of GFA's home page) has been provided for direct access.
